Zelda, now retired, and Sophie have met the Pet Partner® Standards that demonstrate they can visit hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers that allow animal visits. For more information about Pet Partners visit www.deltasociety.org.
Zelda, an eleven year old black and silver miniature schnauzer, brought comfort, peace and calm to patients for six years in In-Patient Rehabilitation through Providence St. Peter's Animal Assisted/Therapy Program (PAAA/T).
Sophie is a three year old Maltese/Lhasa Apso cross in the third year of her career as a PAAA/T Team Member. She volunteers in In-Patient Rehabilitation and works with therapists to help patients regain movement, strength, and endurance. Sophie also makes on-call visits at Providence Hospital in Olympia.
She provides smiles, tension release, and puppy love to patients, family members, and staff.

Chloe, a three year old Lhasa Apso, is not a working dog, but she deeply appreciates being held. She shows her gratitude by completely relaxing into the person holding her.
